The particle も is repeated after two or more items of the same grammatical category to indicate that all of them are included in the statement. In affirmative sentences, it translates to 'both A and B' or 'A as well as B'. In negative sentences, it translates to 'neither A nor B'.

Used to list multiple nouns that are included in an affirmative statement.

I like both dogs and cats.

I ate both bread and fruit.

Negative Use

Used with a negative verb to indicate that none of the listed items apply.
