ちなみに + Sentence

ちなみに is a conjunction used to provide additional, related information to a topic that has just been discussed. It is often used to add a side note, a detail, or a related fact that isn't the main point but is relevant to the conversation.

Use ちなみに at the beginning of a new sentence to add a related detail to the previous statement.

The library is closed tomorrow. Incidentally, it is also closed on Mondays.

I bought a new car. By the way, it was very expensive.

This cake is handmade. In this connection, the eggs are from our farm.

Note

ちなみに is used to add supplementary information. It cannot be used to completely change the subject to something unrelated. For a complete change of topic, use 'それはそうと' or 'ところで' instead.
