Grammar Point

など

et cetera, etc., and the like, and so forth

Noun + など

など is used after nouns or noun phrases to indicate that the items mentioned are just examples of a larger group. It implies that there are other similar things that are not being explicitly mentioned.

This formation lists one or more items as representative examples of a category.

I bought apples, oranges, and so on.

I like sports such as soccer.

Note

In formal writing or speech, など is often used. In casual conversation, it is frequently replaced by なんか or なんて. When used with multiple nouns, the particle や is often used between the nouns, and など follows the final noun.
